Goofs: Continuity: When Mia drives the station wagon into the lake it's frozen. But when she gets out of the car the lake doesn't have any ice on it.

Story: Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival. Synopsis: The film starts with a young woman walking through the woods. She's dripping with blood. A figure stalks her and eventually jumps her, throwing a bag over her head and having his redneck buddy whack her with the butt of his axe. The woman wakes up in a cellar in the presence of a woman who speaks only Welsh, and she's surrounded by what appear to be burn victims. The young woman's father appears before her. She asks for her mother, and the father tells her that she killed her mother. The old woman hurries the father to kill his daughter, and so he douses her with gas as she pleads with him. Before he can strike a match, the young woman tells him she will eat his soul. Her eyes turn yellow, and as the father drops the match, she appears demonic and starts thrashing. The father raises a shotgun, tells her he loves her, and then blasts her head clean off her shoulders.
Some time later, a car is driving to a quiet part of the woods where a cabin is. We meet David (Shiloh Fernandez), his girlfriend Nata....... Streaming Full Movie..

let me start by saying that i am easily scared by horror movies, i amthe girl who sits there with her hands over her face, peeking outthrough the spaces in-between her fingers to Streaming a horror movie...andthe only, and i mean ONLY, reason i covered my face in this movie wasbecause it was so sickeningly gory and violent. i went into the theaternot having seen the original, so i wasn't sure what to expect, but itwas far from the most terrifying movie i'll ever see, that's for sure.
the back story, as boring and short-lived as it was, helped the movietransition into the bloodbath that it became, with the charactersplaying off Mia's weird behavior, in it's early stages, as withdraws(although vomiting blood on someone is NOT a symptom of drug withdraw)
the acting was awful...the characters were boring at best, and couldhave put anyone to sleep had they not been so grossed out. the onlyactor worth a damn in this whole flick was Lou Taylor Pucci, who tookan ass beating and kept on kicking until the very end. Jane Levy'sportrayal of Mia was decent, and decently creepy in some parts, but therest of the cast was just....horrible. by the time everyone startingdying, i was actually glad - it was more torturous to Streaming them try toact than it was to Streaming them kill each other...which, come to think ofit, could have been caused by the awful, and horribly corny, script, inwhich the characters have to act serious (and seriously scared) whiletrying to tend to wounds with duct tape, and convince the audience thatsomeone with ZERO medical knowledge can fashion a working defibrillatorout of a car battery, MORE duct tape, two needles and various otherridiculous items. my acting probably would have sucked too if i had toact like taping someone's severed arm with duct tape would do anythingat all to prevent the inevitable bleed out.
which leads me to the overwhelming amount of violence and gore. it wasover the top...laughable even (as a matter of fact, the man sitting inthe row in front of us in the theater WAS laughing) because it just gotto the point where there wasn't even a shred of shock factor anymore,it was just violence for violence's sake. there was no depth to it, nobuild up, nothing to really psychologically mess with the audiencebefore grossing them out, it was just..there. it actually got boring,because everything literally just turned into a bloodbath (punintended)..it was brutal and hard to Streaming, and the audience definitelygrossed out, but it wasn't shocking, it became expected. the demonreminded me too much of the exorcist to actually be scary, it justseemed like they ripped off the look, the actions, and even some of thephrases from the exorcist and hoped it'd scare people.
overall...i wasn't impressed. over-the-top gore and violence does notqualify a movie as being "the most terrifying movie you'll everexperience"....it was far from it. had it really amped up thepsychological scares and the build-up to the gore, then maybe we couldtalk, but a movie that relies solely on blood and guts is notterrifying, it just makes the audience want a barf bag.
i'll wait to see the directors cut (as some of the scenes in previewswere not in the movie) to make another decision as i'm sure some of thetruly unnerving scenes were left on the cutting room floor to allow foran R rating, but for now, it has nothing that you couldn't have seen ifyou mashed together Saw and The Exorcist.
in general, the scariest part of my movie-going experience was thatsomeone brought their children, all 10 and under, to this gore-fest,and i had to sit in front of them for an hour and a half.

Jesus Christ. I was pumped for this movie. I am not a horror fan, butloved the original franchise, and heard nothing but good things aboutthis movie. Unfortunately, it sucks. This is significantly bad. I mean,there is absolutely nothing good about this. There isn't anything OKabout this. The worst part about this gore - fest is it is not scary. Ijumped twice while in the theater. Once because my friend bumped theback of my chair, and once because of one of the trailers for themovie. It also pays no homage to the original Evil Dead. It looks at itin the rear view mirror, punches the gas, does not look back, and fallsinto a pit of blood.
The gore factor in the movie is NOT impressive. It simply becomes oldafter the one girl cuts off her own arm. After that point, it was like,"Oh no, that's a lot of blood. Too bad I ALREADY SAW THAT."
It also has the worst script I have listened to in a while.
THE MOVIE TAKES ITSELF SERIOUSLY. IT WAS NOT SCARY/SERIOUS ENOUGH TOTAKE SERIOUSLY.
I'm sorry, this review is not for you if you have seen the movie andlike it. If you did this, you were an idiot already.

Save your money. This film is a cash grab of the highest order. A trulyshallow attempt to remake a film all horror fans hold dear to theirheart.
When Sam Raimi shocked and delighted the world with Evil Dead, he didso with the purest intentions and divine talent. Original story.Groundbreaking gore effects. Stunning visuals. Mesmeric tension.
A masterpiece.
He did so without the desire for box office statistics, nor did he payshills to promote the film. He simply poured his heart and soul andgenius into something he truly loved.
This pale, insipid, vapid excuse of a "remake" is an Evil Dead film inname only. Nothing original. Nothing enthralling. Nothing shocking.Just......nothing.
The sooner Hollywood realizes film audiences are SICK of these types oftepid imitations, the better. Classic and much-adored movies should beleft to age gracefully and to find audiences on their own terms, forgenerations to come.
The Mona Lisa was not repainted. And if it had of been,, the copy wouldbe spat upon and condemned as a FAKE! Well, this FAKE is even worse.
