Goofs: Revealing mistakes: During the fire fight at the jungle base, one of the guerrillas is supposed to be firing an M-16 on full auto, but his finger isn't on the trigger, it is outside the trigger guard.

Wow, this was the worst movie I've seen this year. Whoever made those"dinosaurs" should be fired. The movie is focused on a completelyunsympathetic team of soldiers in an unexplored crater somewhere inSouth America, where dinosaurs somehow have survived for millions ofyears. We never get any kind of working explanation for this.

The soldiers don't seem very shocked to suddenly be faced with longdead reptiles, they just pull out their guns and shoot the T-Rex in thehead. Which works. That is something i can not forgive. A T-Rex takenout with a handgun? Really? The dinosaurs don't seem to be a big threatat all.

And of course this movie has the classic stereotype for anenvironmentalist. He says that the dinosaurs are peaceful, and thatthey should leave this unexplored crater alone. Naturally, he getseaten by a dinosaur.

I think the best scene is in the end of the movie, and it perfectlysums the whole film up. The team has at last escaped the dinosaurs andare sitting safely in their helicopter. The T-Rex that was just chasingthem is on the ground, unable to do them any harm. So of course theleader of the team pulls out a missile launcher and shoots the T-Rex,making it's head explode. They all breathe out a sigh of relief anddeliver their cheesy ending lines, happy music plays and the creditsroll.

Streaming this movie if you want to laugh and/or cry at it's catastrophiceverything.

Another typical Syfy movie channel show. First of all this appears tobe an American armed forces mission yet there are numerous foreignaccents that are so obvious that they don't even try to hide them. Thenthere is the military team with all the older guys that are part of theteam. I am not against older soldiers but I don't think that they wouldgo on a drop mission where they might slow the unit down. The smarmybad guy is also typical of the Syfy network movies. He seems reallyevil but is just a clown who overacts. The dinosaurs have no reason toexist outside of the movie plot. There is not even a decent explanationfor their existence. The fact that there are enough prey species tosupport the predators is ludicrous to say the least. Enough dinosaursto have a viable population would show up on the satellites and beinvestigated. The weirdo they find studying the dinosaurs is only thereto provide some continuity and of course info. Why do I waste my timewith these movies? Well I hope to find a decent one from time to time.

When their mission to capture a renegade general and a kidnappedscientist goes awry, a team of soldiers learn they've stumbled onto anancient valley filled with live dinosaurs and must try to get awaybefore they all fall victim to the creatures.

This turned out to be quite an enjoyable effort that could be fun onceit overlooked the cheesiness. There's a huge amount of that spreadthroughout here, once again featured from the absolutely atrocious andridiculous CGI used for the dinosaurs that don't have any sort ofconsistent movement beyond three general attack behaviors throughout aswell as the constant size discrepancies in the scenes and totallyridiculous-looking animation effects for the attacks. While these lookreally bad, and there's a couple problematic story lines in play thatdon't make any sort of sense at all, there's some fun here with a lotmore action than expected, including a rather fun takeover of the rebelhideout in the jungle which devolves into a series of fun firefightsthat are pretty enjoyable. As well, with the creatures continuously onthe group that leaves for plenty of high-quality confrontations andkill scenes to make up for it's shortcomings. Overall, this one wasn'ttoo bad even with a few flaws.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Language.
